VNCfiles
The shared file core of the suite: one governed registry, one permission model and governance built in.
Your files, inside your walls, under your rules
One governed registry for every product, one login and one permission model. Files run entirely in your environment, with identity, organisation and folder rights delegated to the suite directory, and sharing governed by tracked links.
- ✓One governed registry: a shared folder tree and metadata, with bytes in the shared object store
- ✓Directory grants: folder rights are grants in the suite directory, resolved by nearest ancestor
- ✓Governance built in: classification, retention, legal hold and DLP flags held with the record
- ✓Governed sync and offline desktop, with an encrypted local store and a transactional outbox
- ✓Hybrid search across the suite content index, and Ask your files with citations
- ✓Shares with accountability: expiring, password-protected, capped and one-time links, with a per-link access log
One governed registry
A shared folder tree and file metadata for every product, with one login and one permission model. The registry publishes file events to the suite event bus and file discovery to the suite content index.
Versioning and Trash
Every file keeps its versions, with restore, and a Trash holds deleted items for 30 days with restore or purge.
Safe by default
Uploads are virus-scanned, documents are content-extracted, and common file and office formats preview in-app. Files and folders carry a classification.
Search by meaning
Hybrid search, lexical plus semantic, across the whole suite content index, with results enriched by type, size and preview. Ask your files answers in natural language with citations.
Share with accountability
Share a file or folder with an expiring link, optional password, a download limit or a one-time link, and revoke. A per-link access log records every view, download and block, with time, IP and client.
Governance
Classification, retention policy, legal hold and DLP flags are held with the record. Folder rights are access grants in the suite directory, resolved by nearest ancestor, with no local permission table.
Governed sync
Sync spaces keep the object store in step with a synced volume, governed by a device and space grant matrix, with a sync console and one-click conflict resolution.
Offline desktop
A desktop client for macOS, Windows and Linux keeps an encrypted local store, a transactional outbox for offline read and write, conflict handling and local full-text search, with in-app single sign-on and auto-update.
The suite one file core
Every product reads and writes the same registry, so there are no per-app file silos.
Permissions that never drift
Grants live in the suite directory, not in the file app, so joiners, movers and leavers are handled once.
Sovereign by architecture
Bytes, metadata, search and the assistant run in your cluster; no presigned links leave it.
Governance and sharing together
Classification and legal hold sit on the same object you share with a tracked link.
Registry: shared folder tree and metadata, bytes in the shared object store · Rights: grants in the suite directory, resolved by nearest ancestor · Governance: classification, retention, legal hold, DLP flags · Clients: web and a desktop client for macOS, Windows and Linux
Integrated across the suite · single sign-on via VNCdirectory
VNCdirectory
Identity, organisation and folder rights are grants in the suite directory, with one login across the suite.
VNCmail
Attachments and shared files from the suite live in the same governed registry.
Secure file-transfer door
An SFTP and WebDAV door, single-sign-on authenticated, so standard tools reach the same governed registry.
