A modular software stack for collaboration and communication
Zug, Switzerland, October 24, 2023 – VNClagoon 2.0 is the latest version of VNC’s modular software stack for collaboration and communication. In addition to technological highlights such as the fluid principle or the Kubernetes-driven microservices and micro-modules, special packages have also been put together for partners.
VNC, a leading developer of open source-based enterprise applications, introduces VNClagoon 2.0, the next evolution of its modular software stack for communication and collaboration. The backend is optimized for large-scale deployments in distributed environments, especially in large enterprises and organizations. VNClagoon 2.0 is a modularized, distributed and highly scalable application that operates with microservices, micromodules and containers and is deployed via Kubernetes. This dramatically reduces rollout and deployment times. In the front end of VNClagoon 2.0, the native integration of all functional modules has been completed. VNClagoon now includes the complete, coordinated module palette for the most diverse requirement profiles and company sizes.
In VNClagoon 2.0, the fluid principle, which allows the flexible design of digital workplaces on the front end, is now implemented in all modules. The modules are optimized to function as part of highly specific workspaces for individual employees, teams, departments or entire organizations. The modules and dashlets (specific functions) can be combined in any way depending on the desired application profile, placed freely on the VNClagoon interface and changed at any time. The flexible deployment models for VNClagoon remain unchanged. The Suite can still be deployed on-premises, in the cloud or in hybrid architectures.
On-demand partner packages
To serve partners in the indirect sales channel, Productivity Suites are also designed with flexibly sized packages that cover a range of typical requirements with a coordinated combination of functional modules and services. The range extends from the entry-level package VNCbasic (P1) for start-ups, SMEs, municipalities and local authorities to VNCprofessional (P5) for large enterprises, federal and state authorities. In addition, VNCcharity (P0) is a separate, very affordable package for volunteers in non-profit organizations. Partners can also use the white-labeling feature to market VNClagoon 2.0 in their own look and feel or in the corporate design of their customers.
