During the Corona pandemic, the VNClagoon LIVE communication package is available free of charge to individual users. Companies and organizations can use it with additional functionalities for a small fee.

Exceptional times call for exceptional measures: VNC, a leading developer of open source-based enterprise applications, is therefore providing private users with a sample implementation of its VNClagoon suite free of charge during the pandemic under the name “VNClagoon LIVE”. For companies and organizations it offers additional functionalities for a small fee.

The foundation of VNClagoon LIVE is VNCmeet, a hosted web messenger based on open source for real-time communication with chat, video and audio conferences. The following functions are available for all users:

  • Individual and group chats
  • 1:1 audio and video calls
  • Voice messages
  • Broadcasts
  • Screen sharing
  • Document creation with VNCpad

Companies can also use audio and video group conferences and invite external users to join. In addition, a professional package with the following supplementary functions can be purchased:

  • Group conversations via audio and video conferencing
  • Connection to other users via RFC
  • Unlimited number of users in team communication

“In these challenging times, we want to do our part and help to keep in touch with each other”, explains VNC managing director and Board Member Andrea Wörrlein. “With VNClagoon LIVE, we provide a state-of-the-art messenger free of charge or for a small fee”.

Data protection and privacy play an important role at VNC: When registering, VNC only asks for the absolutely necessary, use-relevant data and does not pass them on to third parties.
